Well, the Land Rover broke down again. This time the clutch. Need to see if it is worth keeping or getting rid of. Any suggestions?

the big question there is cost! How much is a clutch for series II LR? eBay says couple hundred for a complete kit, how much work/cost of labor?
If you want unique and cool - keep it

What is that beautiful red thing? That one looks like a coachbuilt Italian car and I can’t exactly place it. It sort of looks like an Apollo/Cisitalia/Ferrari thing...

The place I bring it to charges 115 per hour, and mostly uses parts from Rovers North. Not sure how much.

No. I lucky broke down at a classic car dealership that also specializes in old land rovers. The shop I bring it to is 115 an hour

I never said what FJ... FJ40, FJ45, Iron Pig FJ55, FJ60, FJ80, FJ100, FJ200, and it goes on. Pick any of the above and you can’t lose.

Is it a 3/4 tonne chassis or military 1 tonne? The military chassis has a bolt-up gearbox crossmember making a clutch job fairly painless, but the 3/4 standard gearbox crossmember is fixed and you have to change the clutch by removing the seatbox, floor and transmission tunnel, then removing the entire unit via the passenger side door. Parts are cheap but cost can add up because it’s about 8 hrs of work.

Fix it and list it for $25k like everyone else is doing with their Pre ODB2 Rovers. I bet you could find a buyer in 2 days in the Nashville metro area

Not sure. Because it’s a Santana there isn’t much info on it. I am pretty sure it’s a 3/4, but it did have a blackout switch when we first bought it. The trucks at the shop now anyways, too big of a project for me or my dad.

Well it’s a Santana, so it's a little tougher sell, and that's pretty much what we have in it anyways.
